This is the review for Avalon Video Slot game by Microgaming. This seems to be a very popular game as it is played by many people on a regular basis. This game has an ethereal theme based on Avalon a mythical place; supposedly the home of King Arthur and the Lady of the Lake, who presumably gave King Arthur his sword Excalibur. This game has great graphics with symbols depicting The Lady of the Lake, The Castle in the Mists of Avalon, the Crest of Avalon, an Emerald broach, a Regal Chalice, etc. This game is played over 20 lines which increases your chances of winning.

When I started to play the game, I thought that the game was smart and clean and had a fantasy feel to it. Within the first 5 spins, I got a good a few good wins of over $10; remember that I was staking $2 just to feel out the game. I thought that was great and, continued to play just to find out what kind of “Free Spin feature” the game would have and if the game was tight or loose. The Scatter in the game is the Lady of the Lake symbol and when it appears twice, you get 2x your stake. These 2 scatters appear often and, in conjunction with other wins, you often make your stake back and better. The Free Spin feature in the game is triggered when you get 3, 4 or more of the Scatter symbols. During the Free spin feature, your wins are multiplied by the number that appears at the bottom of the window, they can be from 2x up to 7x multiplier.

It was a very long while into the game that I got a free spin feature, it was as if the game needed to warm up, but once they come, the features come around often. While I played, I got many wins, small ones and big ones, some of them were combinations of many lines, some were “4 of a kind” and even “5 of a kind”. I got a few “5 of a kind”, this was nice as I made up to $40 and $60, and I even have pictures of them in my gallery below.

The WILD in the game is the symbol with the Castle on hill in the Mists of Avalon. These wild symbol substitutes for all symbols except the Lady of the Lake scatter. These wilds appear often to complete sets and there is an Extra Wild, the Treasure Chest, that is Wild in the Free Spin feature and also substitutes for all symbols except the scatter symbol. These wild symbols are responsible for the good wins that I got in the free spin feature.

I really enjoyed playing this game as I do like to play games that have great graphics and music, I do enjoy games that have features as it gives you something to look forward to. I do enjoy making money as well so, I recommend this game with its frequent wins of at least 2x, 3x, 4x your stake, is great in my opinion. Do play this game if you like games with a little more than just spinning, as this game has a Gamble feature too and you bet on your winnings to increase them. If you choose the correct colour you can double your win or you quadruple your y choosing the correct suit.
